Welcome! I am an Assistant Professor of Organizations and Strategic Management at the Lubar College of Business, University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. I received my PhD in Strategy and Entrepreneurship from the University of North Carolina's Kenan-Flagler Business School in 2019.

My research interests revolve around corporate governance, entrepreneurship, and strategic management, with a focus on the board of directors. Using multiple methods (quantitative and qualitative), I study board composition, board dynamics, and their effects on strategic choices and performance in two critically important contexts: venture capital backed startups and public companies. My research identifies the barriers that entrepreneurs face when scaling-up their startups as well as the obstacles to developing effective public board regulations.
